GOALS
This course provides an outlook of the most relevant moments in Spanish literature, its most outstanding authors and works, through the analysis of specific texts.
METHODOLOGY
Drawing on the great topics in literature (death, love, honor, survival), our course will travel through the major works in the history of Spanish literature looking at selected fragments from significant texts.
Each lesson will raise a universal topic and its portrayal in different Spanish works. Through the analysis of specific fragments in these works, the students will learn about the historical context and the literary genre they belong to.
ASSESSMENT
It is essential for the student to become involved in his/her learning by participating actively in class and completing the readings and projects recommended.
The assessment will include active class participation as well as the student´s result in the final examination.
